glad tidings to the strangers
Towards the demise of the caliphate, Muslims were distraught from the loss of land rather than the news of their brothers and sisters being killed and tortured. We can see this attitude amongst Muslims today, as they talk about how we should work towards achieving Khilafa but never do they once mention that to attain a Khilafa they must liberate their Ummah from the stranglehold of the tyrants and imperialists.
When an Ummah sheds tears at the loss of land but cannot even utter a few words in remembrance of their dead, then we truly have lost the title of ‘The Prophet’s [PBUH] Ummah’. We are nothing more than a collective of selfish people, whose love for materialism has surpassed our love for our God and His creations.
Prophet (PBUH) said: “The Blood of a Muslim is worth more than the Ka’aba.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah; Silsilah El Saheehah: hadith #3420)
