The Strange Two

glad tidings to the strangers

Reach inside your heart, not your pocket

There is no point in giving Zakat to the poor when you don’t sincerely care for them. Caring for those who need help isn’t throwing money at them once a year and then loose change when you see beggars on the street. Caring for people is doing the most you can for those who absolutely need your help. Caring goes beyond money, you need to give them time, real effort and have love for them. Love is unconditional commitment; it doesn’t stop when you’re low on money because you’ll find other ways of being there for them. So, if you really cared about bringing justice and a better life for those who actually need it, donating money would be a last resort and not the only way.

Reach inside your heart, not your pocket.
