glad tidings to the strangers

More to worship than Salah

Extract from ‘The Ideal Muslim Society’ book on worship in Islam, there’s a lot more to it than just salat. We should aim to always be in a state of worshipping Allah by having good intentions, by wanting to make Him happy. If we try to live Islam instead of opting to practice it when it’s convenient for us, then we will naturally worship Him at all times as we will always be remembering Him.

The beauty of Islam is that it’s not just a religion, you don’t just believe in it but it’s also a way of life, you practice it. When you have questions or want to know how to go about doing something, see what Islam has to say about it, not only will it help you in the afterlife but you will also see the benefits in this life as there is a lot of wisdom behind the rulings.
